Hi, I’m Amy.

I’m a recovering perfectionist and even though I don’t have it all figured out, I actually feel like I’m living a life instead of going through the motions. The reclaiming of my true self is one of the greatest gifts I have received which is why I feel so called to help others do the same.

I work with women who have had to make themselves smaller to keep the peace. They believe that not making mistakes will keep them safe. Many of them want to be more authentic but have no idea where to start. They don’t know who they are and often they don’t know what they want. I can relate.

My healing path has led me to rediscover parts of myself that I forgot existed and taken me on a spiritual journey that I didn’t even know I needed. I believe the Universe has our backs and opening myself up to this has brought me deep comfort. I know our experiences will be different but if find yourself nodding along to any of this, you’re my people.

Don’t get me wrong, I still love structure and a good plan but now it’s something I do for me, not to check the box of being a “good girl”. You weren’t born to be a “good girl”. You were born to feel, explore, be wild and set your old world on fire. It’s time to let it burn.

Why Dandelion?

I can see how the dandelion is a symbol for so much in our healing. When are struggling, experiencing dark emotions or feeling intense pain, our culture tends to want to make those go away, too. We want a quick fix to make things pretty and shiny again. We can be looked down upon for bringing these feelings to the light. We are often expected to just stuff them down.

However, if we try to get rid of this pain, it will return until we face it. And even though sometimes it’s excruciatingly hard, once we do face our pain, it starts to diminish in intensity and sets the stage for something new to emerge.

What if we embraced the dandelion and these shadow sides of ourselves? What if we trusted that they were both here for a purpose? What if we let them stay, got curious about why they showed up and let them do their thing?

I believe mother nature intended for dandelions and our pain to be transformative. I see it as nature’s alchemy.

Our culture labels dandelions as unsightly. They aren’t welcomed when they show up in our yards each spring and we are told we should spray them to make them go away. That one neighbor might even judge us for letting this wildflower inhabit our lawns.

However, dandelions are very beneficial to the soil and insects. If they show up, it’s for a reason. They are the only plant that wants to grow and can grow in that particular spot due to the composition of the soil at that time. Other dandelion facts:

  • You can tell its growth by the leaf stages

  • Their flowers are delicious and have health benefits

  • If you remove it prematurely, it will return twice as strong

  • It grows because your soil needs its help. It will disappear once the soil is fixed.
